Dr. M. Andrew Atwood purchased the Northwest’s most prominent Cosmetic Dental practice in April 2006. Dr. Atwood has continued the tradition of cosmetic dental excellence by employing some of the same feldspathic porcelain techniques that have provided long lasting, beautiful, cosmetic makeovers for many years.
Dr. Atwood and his team of ceramists work closely together to provide optimum aesthetics and complete function for restoring your oral health. The team approach to delivering cosmetic dentistry is essential. Many of the most difficult cosmetic challenges are discussed and planned out ahead of time to assure that everyone knows what steps need to be done to achieve the final, optimal outcome.
Dr. Atwood received his bachelor's degree in music composition from Brigham Young University. Follow this link to read more about his artistic background. He then pursued the study of dentistry at the University of Iowa where he maintained a research grant from the National Institute of Dental and Cranio-facial Surgery studying the effects of lasers on enamel. Having his heart set on cosmetic dentistry, he continued his educational pursuits being mentored specifically on the feldspathic technique. Dr. Atwood now teaches other dentists around the country about his techniques.
Dr. Atwood is the founder of the Northwest Aesthetics Institute and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Seattle King County Dental Society and the American Dental Association; The Washington State Dental Association.
